The Red Neon Eviota Goby (Eviota nigriventris), also known as the Red-Bellied Dwarfgoby, is a nano goby found among the reefs of Papua New Guinea. They have a red or maroon body with white ventral and dorsal sections. They feed on a variety of small crustaceans, including zooplankton and copepods. The Red Neon Eviota hides among rocky outcroppings and corals, seeking shelter from predators, while also scavenging for food. They require a peaceful aquarium with fish of similar size and temperament. E. nigriventris does well in stable reef environments with plenty of live rock and calm water flow.
